Arizona 2026
Oftentimes, individuals are trying to prove to their partner that they are good, yet resentment and anger grow because they are trying to prove something (to someone else) that they have not fully addressed within themselves; they have not yet clarified what good behavior looks like for them, and end up living out someone else’s preferred behavior for them. When our behavior is not in alignment with our beliefs, we feel trapped, controlled, sad, mad, …
In therapy, we learn to plant our feet on solid ground. We clarify intentions, desires, and values, in a way that we can be still, knowing we are making good choices for ourselves and those we love. Resentment melts, hearts and minds mature, individuals and partnerships find laughter, ease, and gratitude once again, and confidence ensues. As we clarify our own minds—learn who we are and what we desire—we no longer live to prove ourselves to someone else. A sense of freedom envelops us. We become the primary choosers of our lives, less reactionary to our environment; a Self filled with peace and greater capacity for love—someone who is good.
